Would like to find an industrial space with large overhead door (or large 6ft wide door that will accommodate some of my equipment) and water access (sink hopefully). This space could simply be a backroom or a corner of a larger existing room..........whatever works.......I just need to get back working.

hello, i am looking to start booking clients and adding a little more range to my photography. i prefer to do smaller, portrait like sessions, no major events (im working my way up to it).

-at least an hour of my time (we will take as long as needed to get the shots you want).
-unlimited outfit changes/posing
-if you have props feel free to bring them.
-all raw photos on a disc before you leave
-we can jointly pick out the photos for editing :) (and discuss how you want the photos received..email is most convenient)

Plot: A unique american story about the strained relationship between the first African American President, Denzjolondas1@comcast.netel James and his 15 year old aspiring rapper son, Jamal.

After a few artists flaking out on me, it seems like everyone's all talk and no walk. But I'm willing to not give up on humanity...again. I have an idea, well several utterly badass ones, but one specifically that will rock some socks clean off. Coupled with my ludicrously impressive talents for wordsmithing (not a real word...maybe?) and a dozen other applicable and supreme talents only a perfectly engineered cyborg should be capable of, I'd like to team with an equally skilled illustrator (and possibly others) who's work will give my mind no choice but to be completely blown.
No industry experience necessary, but I need someone (or some people) who knows the comic world better than I do; who knows the channels, knows the comic-cons, knows the standards for pages and print, knows the audience, and knows how to pitch concepts. I have the tools to cut together professional, totally wicked as eff promo trailers for our work or even make a motion comic if it comes to that, even including connections to the voice talent we would seek. I want to make the very best, most insanely cool thing possible and get mother frickin famous. I have no shame and will not hide behind pretenses. I wanna do it big or not at all. We would be doing this for FUN FIRST, don't get me wrong, but we need to stay business minded and serious.
Inspiration includes, but is not limited to: Green Lantern, specifically Geoff Johns, but the entire GL universe, really. Watchmen and pretty much everything Alan Moore has done. Neil Gaiman and Sandman. Matt Fraction and his work with the Invincible Iron Man. Warren Ellis and Darick Robertson on Transmetropolitan. And on and on and on...
In an illustrator, I want the next Ethan Van Sciver. Your work should be exploding with detail, energetic, and intense. Emails without samples of work will be ignored. I'd like one example of a female character showing off her figure as well as a male character showing strong muscle detail. Examples of my own work will be traded for yours. The ideas I have, however, will not be divulged until we've conversed, but basically I want to create a whole new super-hero origin complete with a fully realized universe, including super-villains and friends. Very dark, emotional, epic, and philosophical, with a healthy and welcome dose of comic relief.

This year marks 25 years of a fine Downriver art tradition - the Art Ambience Fine Juried Art Exhibition and Miniature Show and Sale. With this momentous date fast approaching all Downriver artists (over the age of 18) are asked to join in the upcoming festivities and to apply to show their work at the Art Ambience Show. Applications must be submitted by April 21. (there is a link to the application on www.facebook.com/downriverartscraftsguild )
The show dates are Friday May 4th, Saturday May 5th, and Sunday May 6th.
Since this is our anniversary show, there will be increased cash prizes awarded by a qualified outside professional artist. The large number of people coming to view the exhibit is partially due to the numerous artists that provide interesting demonstrations that are often interactive with the public. Our show has become a family friendly activity with often groups of friends coming to enjoy the afternoon with us.
Besides being able to submit 3 fine art pieces to be juried ( 2D or 3D ), artists are allowed to submit an extra 5 pieces into the non-juried miniature section of the show. The overwhelming successful miniature show (no larger than 24 inches in circumference) is often a furiously fast paced cash and carry section of the show. The show has a lovely large venue at the Woodhaven Community Center on Hall Road in Woodhaven located near I-75. During the 3 day event there will be a Friday night reception with hors d'oeuvres and entertainment.

Hi!
We are looking for artists to participate in our art fair July 21st and 22nd. Booth fee is 70$ for both days and 10$ jury/application fee.
We have tv commercials, newspaper ads, and will be listed in all major print publications for the metro detroit area (Detroit News/Freepress/local Observer, Metro Times Guide, MetroParent etc..).
We are expecting a great turnout for this year.
We have kid friendly activities, a beer garden (new), and lots of interactive events.

Hello Metro Detroit Craigslist community. I am a local emerging artist and recent college graduate.
I am in the process of creating a series of Paintings themed Graffiti Urban Portraits. I was recently accepted in the 45th Annual Flint Art Festival hosted in Flint MI. Thankfully I was given this opportunity and able to travel to the festival with the help from a backer!
Backing this project would help me a great deal in completing my project - series of affordable graffiti style portraits. I feel that this portrait style has not been explored enough but it should be because it is a huge representation of the emerging artists of today.
THE PROJECT is inspired by urban style hipsters, graffiti and expression. Living in midtown as an art student. I am a professional portrait painter and currently working on a series of urban/expressionistic portraits of "counter culture" of this generation
My theme for my art is " Counter Culture". I want to produce large scale paintings (30 x 40 in - 60 x 60 in). Depicting portraits of those very things that influence me to produce a painting. Oil & Spray paint on canvas.
I incorporate spray paint and layered textures to capture the essence of urban street art that you would find walking around detroit.
I realized that my work immediately connects with people from age 12 - 65 years of age. Not just by my skill as a painter but with the ability to capture the essence of a person. I always say that I don't paint "portraits" but "feeling"

The Huron Valley Civil War sesquincentinal Commemoration (non profit org) are looking for crafters. The date is set for July 21st-July 22nd in front of the Milford High School in Milford.Mi. Crafters reqirements: 1) No table or space rental fee (free) so all your profits directly to you. 2) Provide own table/display and if desired your own canopy. 3) Need to know your craft ahead of time and would like to encourage some type of craft repesentative of the civil war era. Suggestions: Quilts, afghans, scarfs, candles, handmade soap, wood carvings and patriotic items the list is endless and I can help with suggestions.
There will be childrens games and crafts, reenactors, food ,crafters, many displays of civil war items and photos and much more.
